A Passion For Colour
Colour plays a key role in my approach to painting. My work is about the wonder and energy of life and my aim is to communicate its creative and vibrant essence in both people and nature. Painting gives me a way to inspire people to make positive changes in their lives, it is why I paint. My paintings are happy paintings! |
Annick's painting is a kind of electrified impressionism. Her palette of bright hues captures light and movement with an unusual forcefulness. Working in acrylic, she shuffles her brush through an inexhaustible amount of natural subject matter. Trees, water, and reflected light - all make for bright and pictorially redeeming fodder. Rich in primary and secondary complements, her work overtly appeals to the phenomenology of seeing color. Bright red flowers are dashed amid equally valued greens. Her paintings are full of the motion and energy one might experience in a field of high grass on a nice day. It is an unapologetic indulgence of the visual senses. The field of vision is captivated with her synthesis of color and brushwork. The works are confidently rendered. |
